VELOCITIES | Max for Live device

VELOCITIES is a Max For Live step sequencer that replaces incoming midi velocities with those set by the sliders. The step sequencer is not tied to the clock but advanced per note and can also be reset with a definable midi note for more control. You can mute individual steps by setting them to zero. Using different step lengths can create polymetric patterns adding interest to loops meaning they won’t repeat in the same order for many bars. 

It’s possible to randomize the sequencer per click or every time the sequencer loops to create unexpected outcomes. 

VELOCITIES works great on rhythmic patterns such as hi-hats or percussion to add extra variation. Also great for arpeggiated patterns and melodic leads to add more variation and humanization.
