Ringer | Max for Live Device
Ringer brings the iconic sound of the Mutable Instruments Rings module into Max for Live. Known for its physical modeling capabilities, the Rings allows the user to simulate organic, string-like vibrations, allowing you to "excite" or "strum" virtual structures.
Ringer is built around the original open-source code of Rings, creating a sonically faithful recreation with added modulation options and built-in reverb. It is a powerful, inspiring sound design tool and instrument. Depending on the source material fed into it, Ringer is capable of a wide range of sounds, from classic bell-like tones to strings, drones, and much more.
Ringer processes audio, turning percussive sounds into tuned musical notes, white noise can be transformed into flute or string-type tones, and much more. Ringer can be played as an instrument across musical scales by sending midi notes into the plugin (either from the piano roll or a midi keyboard).
